some projects still in the planning stages

1. I bought the chart for The Egyptian Sampler and I have the material to stitch it on. I just need to buy all the thread for it. This is the biggest design I've ever approached so I must admit I'm intimidated. I think it may take me about ten years to finish.

2. I have a whole pile of ideas rattling around my brain for altered shrines. I have a really great mint tin from some phone company promo thing that's shaped like a cell phone. And Lush's Lip Balms come in great little tins for altering (no paint to remove yay!). My addiction to lipgloss is finally united with my craft addictions. Now I just need to figure out what kind of shrines I want to make.

a list of my current projects

1) I am working on the Dimensions Exotic Butterflies Counted Cross Stitch Kit. It is so beautiful. Blending filament is used to stitch the wings on some of the butterflies so they shimmer.

2) My longest running project is a scrapbook I started with a bunch of friends (I am very susceptible to creative peer pressure hee) of pictures from a trip we took together. It's been about 2 1/2 years since I started it. I only seem to work on it when we actually get together to scrapbook, but I have great intentions of working on it on my own.

3) Figuring out how to display my other finished cross stitch kits. I don't want all of them on my walls, so I'm trying to come up with some kind of portfolio. Right now, I'm thinking of mounting them on card stock and sticking them in scrapbooks.
